why "Blue Otter"?

a longtime love for adorable California sea otters led to a honeymoon on the Monterey Peninsula, where we noticed people gave their oceanfront homes pretentious names. back in northwest Omaha, we jokingly named our home Blue Otter View. years later, it felt right that our bakery should share the same name.

at Blue Otter Bakery, the recipes are just as personal. our signature chocolate chip cookies come from Mom's secret recipe, and the acronym — BOB — is a nod to Dad.

what started as treats for friends and family has grown into something bigger: a bakery built on homemade comfort and the finest ingredients with whimsy and love in every bite.
